Interested in becoming an election judge?

There are two upcoming elections this year:
— State Primary being held on August 13th  
— General Election Day being held on November 5th.

Voting is held at the Wabana Township Hall.  If you want to be a judge for the entire day or even a few hours during the day, your help would be appreciated. To be a judge, training is required and below is the schedule for training at the Itasca County Courthouse in June. 

Being a judge is a paid position for both working the elections and taking the training.  The position pays $16 / hour plus mileage.

Itasca County Planning Commission meeting on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 has been cancelled.  The variance will be processed by Wabana Township Planning Commission.  The date of the meeting is TBD, when a date is determined, notices will be posted and sent out as required.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Minnesota Statutes, Sections 375.51, 394.26 and the Itasca County Zoning Ordinance, the Itasca County Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment will view the following sites and then hold a public hearing in the County Board Room, Courthouse, in the City of Grand Rapids, MN on WEDNESDAY, May 15, 2024, between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 P.M. or until the following applications have been addressed.
